Although the year started with the obvious low of Lockdown 3.0 and the unexpected surprise of a break in! It also brought the gratitude of raising £1,114 for Refuge as we held a 4th birthday fundraiser in lieu of us not being able to sink a few celebratory pints together and the absolute honour of being featured in Waitrose Magazine as 1 of the 5 “inspiring women making a splash in the drinks industry”!
What a year 2020 was. It was brutal but your support has been nothing short of remarkable. We wouldn’t have survived the Rona-Coaster without the Hanwell Massive and I’m eternally grateful for the community we’ve built and cannot wait for the day when I get to throw the giant thank you party I have imagined hopefully in my head when I’ve allowed myself to dream of that light at the end of the tunnel.
Well this is an incredibly late third instalment of Pints & Perfect Moments! I’ve re-read the last one that went out at the beginning of March pre-lockdown and it feels like an absolute lifetime ago! I started that one off saying it felt a bit needless to be throwing together a blog pretending it’s business as usual and even made a light-hearted joke about the worst challenge for the business yet to come. Oh the unknown naivety of it all back then!!
Well, well, well, here we are with a slightly late second installment of Pints & Perfect Moments! Seems a bit needless to be throwing together our Feb round-up but it is business as usual after all!
Just when I thought 2019’s cease and desist “fun” was the biggest challenge the business would face, here we are with 2020’s global pandemic with a prediction of the worst yet to come. To reiterate our most recent post on social - It’s business as usual and most definitely community as usual!
So here’s a new little something to document the gripes, the good and the magic of The Dodo Micropub.
Why I hear you ask? Well, because we bang on about being “all about craft beer and community” but if you’ve not experienced The Dodo Micropub first hand then you probably think I’m spinning you some marketing tag line bullsh*t!
I am not! So many warm, hilarious, uplifting, simple little moments of human connection happen behind our powder blue door and 3 years of me thinking “wow, I should start documenting this”, I’m bloody well doing it! Finally!!
